Wisdom from holding your tongue and God uses the wicked for His purpose

9:00am – Mandaluyong, Philippines
A couple of incidents have been happening here and back in the States that is in alignment with the 2 verses below from the Bible. God is so great in lining up the teachings that I read about with real-life examples. He wants me to learn these things and to do so quickly for me to understand and to share with others.

“The heart of the righteous weighs its answers, but the mouth of the wicked gushes evil.”
Proverbs 15:38

Our speech can be very hurtful and cut off ties with people if we reply without thinking about the impact of our words. I have seen this first hand all too often that people and myself reply in haste and in excited/tempered emotion, effecting relationships negatively.

“The LORD works out everything for his own ends— even the wicked for a day of disaster.”
Proverbs 16:3

Even in all the bad that is happening in our lives and in our world, I have faith that God is using those to His purpose. I have seen people’s faith increase, I have seen people outside of the situations to grow in love for others or for family, I have seen people continue to help others in need even more regardless of their personal situation. I know God is in this and there.

In all of this, it reminds of the book or story in the old testament called Exodus where Moses, a man chosen from God to lead Israelites out of Egypt. God uses the wickedness of the Pharaoh to show both the Egyptians and the Israelites that He is real and capable of anything. In all the disaster that God bestowed on the Egyptians, they all believed or began to believe in God by Egyptians knowing it came from God, and the Israelites seeing what God can do by what was revealed to Moses to relay back to both nations. When the Israelites were allowed to be free from the Pharaoh, the Egyptians were free from all the disasters and the Israelites were free to follow God in the land that God chose for them.
